Ruth E. (Blevins) Duvall, age 89 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015.
She was born February 28, 1926 in Lucasville, Ohio the daughter of William and Ethel Jordan. Ruth was a devoted Christian, a caregiver for many years, and delivered the Tri-County Shopper paper for 25 years.
Ruth is survived by her two sons, Steven (Cathy) Blevins, Robert (Gail) Blevins; 7 grandchildren, Brandi, Iva (Josh), Trevor, Beth (Reno), Leslie, Elizabeth, Erin; 5 great grandchildren, Joseph, Ryan, Isabelle, Cayleigh, Samuel; sister, Martha White; adopted daughter, Sherry; and several nieces, nephews and companion Daisy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Zrowka; grandson, Steven Blevins, Jr.; and her husband of 36 years, Elmer Blevins.
A visitation will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 9:30am until 10:30am service time at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424. Pastor Mike Plunket will be officiating.
Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Garden.
