On Thursday, April 23, 2020 Ms. Ruth Augusta Dothard went home to be with the Lord. Ms. Ruth A. Dothard was 87, born February 3, 1933 in Youngstown, Ohio. The daughter of the late Leroy Jackson and Ruth Phillips Jackson Williams. Ruth, "Bootsie", was baptized in her youth at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Youngstown, Ohio. She retired as a caregiver of the elderly. She lived a simple life of service and was loved by all.
Ruth leaves to cherish her memory her two children, Karen (Jeffrey) Matson of Dayton OH, and Brian (Sherraine) Dothard of Youngstown, OH; 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; two sisters Laura Gore of Youngstown and Audrey Taylor of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Daniel Williams of Youngstown, Roosevelt Williams of Cleveland, Phillip Williams of Detroit, Michigan and one cousin who was reared with her, Edward Langford of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Bertha Mae Jones; two cousins whom she was reared with Lillie Mae Langford and Eileen Langford; two stepsisters, Viola Darden and Joyce Williams; 6 brothers Leroy Jackson Jr, Richard Jackson, Samuel Jackson, Robert Jackson, Thomas Williams and Frederick Jackson.
A private family viewing at Newcomer Funeral Chapel, Kettering, OH. Burial will be at Tod Homestead Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio.
