Ruth Etta Cairo, of Oakwood, OH passed away on Sunday August 10, 2014.
Ruth was the wife of Commander Robert F. Cairo, U.S. Navy (retired), and they had been married for 54 years. They were married in Philadelphia in November 1960 and renewed their vows in November 2010 to mark their fiftieth anniversary.
Ruth is survived by sons, Robert Jr. and his wife, Joni, and son, Joseph; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A small memorial service will be conducted at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH on Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 3pm to 5pm.
While floral tributes are welcome, contributions to Hospice of Dayton in her name will be appreciated.
