Russell L. Riddell "Russ", 79, of Franklin, passed away November 16, 2018.
He was born October 5, 1939 in Franklin, Ohio to the late Hubert Woodrow "Woody" and Freda Alberta (Trimble) Riddell. Russ was an Army Veteran. He was the past American Legion Post Commander of Russell McElfresh Post 149 in Franklin for a number of years. Russ retired from Certified Heat Treating after more than 30 years of service. In his free time Russ enjoyed boating and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Riddell. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia "Patty" Riddell; his son, Ron Riddell; granddaughter, Amanda (Byron) Rosengarten; great-granddaughter, Ruby Rae Rosengarten; brother, Donald (Edna) Riddell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 from 4:00 pm until time of service at 6:00 pm at Newcomer South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
