Russell Durbin Webb, age 87 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 26, 2016. He was born in Dreyfus, KY to the late Millard and Dora Webb. Russell proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After marrying his wife, Hattie in 1953, Russell and Hattie started making their roots in the Franklin/Carlisle area. He retired from Miami Paper with over 30 years of loyal service. Russell had a passion for gardening and farming. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by siblings, Fairy Campbell, Jean Slusher, Doyle Webb, and Albert Webb.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife of 63 years, Hattie Webb; daughters, Dora (Bob) Locke and Sharon (Jeff) Webb-Norfleet; grandchildren, Desteny (Donnie) Quillen, J.R. (Danna) Nichols, Sarah (Luke) Keller, and Tyler Nichols; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Kaylee, Reva, Jaden, Karson, and Jacob; dear friend, Harold Pence; and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 30, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering Chapel. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2016 at 11:00am. Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.
