Crowe, Russell L, age 74 of Huber Heights, passed away on Tuesday March 8, 2011. He was born March 22, 1936 in Georgetown, KY. Russell was preceded in death by his mother, Norene Crowe; son, Charlie Crowe and daughter, Melinda Penix.
Russell is survived by his wife of 43 years, Phyllis Crowe; two daughters, Vickie Holdeman and Tammy (Barry) Dorman; son, Kyle Miller; seven grandchildren, Brooke (Ricardo), James, Amber (Jon), Chrystal (Joe), Thomas, Wendy and Emily; two great-grandchildren, Braylon and Madden; sister, Judy Opp; two nephews, Randy and Rusty; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews; and other extended family members and friends.
Russell was a retiree from the U.S. Post Office and he worked as an auto parts delivery driver. Russell was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 12, 2011 at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for two hours prior from 2:00-4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Russell's honor to The Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave.
