Russell Edward Crawford, age 55 of Villa Hills, Kentucky and formerly of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021. He was born January 21, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Russell and Phyllis Crawford.
Russell was raised in Jefferson Twp., Ohio (JT4Life) and graduated from Jefferson High School class of 1984. He served in the U.S. Army.
Russell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. He was all about family and was a protector to each one of them. He was fun-loving, loved to laugh and lived each day to the fullest. Russell was ambitious, never met a stranger and always had his hustle on. His friends referred to him as "Boy Genius" because he always had million dollar ideas. He was a strong advocate for legalizing marijuana and was currently the owner of the "The CBD Lounge" in Covington, Kentucky. He has also been a master barber for the past 18 years.
Russell was known for his pool skills and referred to himself as "The Poolshark". He played on an APA Pool League in Cincinnati known as the "Hotshots" He loved to travel, watch the Ohio State Buckeyes, and spend time with his beloved dog, Tazz.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Crawford.
Russell will be missed by his loving wife Jennifer Crawford; father, Rick (Glenda) Crawford; mother-in-law, Jacqui DePelma; children, Tiffany, Ricky, Justin, Dominic, Nicholas, Davion, Kaiden, Marcus and Kayla; four grandchildren, especially closest to Serenity and Kailynne and one granddaughter on the way; siblings, Richie, Shannon, Thomas, Jessica, Levett; aunt and uncle, Barbara Stephens and William Dunson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including his "Special Cuz" Brian Dixon.
Family will receive friends Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Burial West Memory Gardens. The state of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order where face masks are required in all public places.
