Welsh, Ruby Marie, age 95, passed away on May 1, 2020.
Ruby was a resident of the Springfield Masonic Community for the last 6 years, but spent most of her adult life in Brookville, OH. She was born in St. Paris, OH on September 5, 2914, the second daughter of Virgil "Harry" & Vertie Grace Jenkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; and sister, Norma Hartwell. She is survived by her son, Lee (Diane) Welsh; 3 step-granddaughters and their families; and her dearest friend, Mary Beavers.
She graduated from Northridge High School and spent 30 years working at Smith's Rexall Drug Store in Brookville, OH. She was a proud member of the Republican Women's Club and was a long-time member of the Brookville United Methodist Church. Ruby was a woman with impeccable style who loved decorating her home, shopping for fine clothes and shoes, and baking her wonderful apple pies! She was always up for anything fun, anywhere at anytime!
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the Springfield Masonic Home and Hospice of Dayton for the loving care they provided to Ruby.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruby's name to Hospice of Dayton. Due to the Covid-19 situation, there will be a private family graveside service only.
