Age 80, of Huber Heights, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Ruby was born November 22, 1929 in Dayton to William & Emma Weaver. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, John & Floyd Weaver; and by one daughter-in-law, Elaine Salyer.

Ruby is survived by her husband of the past 62 years, Donald G. Salyer; four children, Steve Salyer, Tim (Sherri) Salyer, Sharon (Bob) Arndt and Terry (Cheryl) Salyer; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; five sisters, Jane (Bob) Eicholtz, Kathryn (Bill) Kirves, Mary Weaver, Frances Welch and Beulah (Ed) Taylor; and by her extended family & many good friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday. Interment will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made in memory of Ruby to the American Heart Association.
