Ruby Mae Linville

September 18, 1925 — June 2, 2016

Ruby Mae Linville, age 90, Kettering, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 2, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, of 59 years; sons Paul Thomas and James David; and grandson, David Linville.

Ruby is survived by son, Ted (Jane); daughter-in-laws Casey (Jim), Loretta (Tommy) Linville all of Kettering; grandchildren Kim, Jim (Paula), Jon (Peggy), Rachael (Andy), and Jay (Amber); great grandchildren Tyler (Courtney), Emily (Wesley), Cassi (Andy), Sami, Jacob, Courtney, Douglas, and Katelyn; great-great grandchildren Noelle, Hunter, Kori, and two more precious babies on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruby was a member of The First Baptist Church of Kettering for over 55 years. Sister Ruby taught Sunday School for over 60 years, she loved the Lord, and was a devoted godly mother. She retired from the University of Dayton bookstore. Ruby was a seamstress, enjoyed singing, and loved her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Dayton.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 11am. Burial will take place at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
