Ruby Keller

Ruby M. Keller, age 81, of Dayton, passed away May 22, 2011. She was born November 3, 1929 in Dayton to the late Charles and Emeline Shepherd. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Keller; sister, Doris Jean Mitchell; and brothers, Robert Shepherd and William Shepherd.

Ruby is survived by her children: William McConnell, Brenda McConnell and Belinda McConnell; 5 grandchildren: Dena Combs, Dan Kennedy, II, Crystal Kennedy, Stephanie Bauer and Justin Bauer; 3 great grandchildren: Jesse Combs, Lilian Crum and Dan Kennedy, III; one great granddaughter on the way, Gracie Taylor Kennedy; 6 brothers: Larry, Gary, George, Donald, Ray and Kenny; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Ruby was an avid Bingo player, loved going to the casino's and enjoyed grocery shopping often. She spent a lot of her time playing cards, especially solitaire. She loved watching TV Land.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, from 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
