Ruby Grillot

GRILLOT, Ruby Marie (McQuitty), age 86 of Dayton, OH passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2010.

Ruby was a long time resident of Quaker Heights Nursing Home in Waynesville, OH. Her family sincerely appreciates the kind and compassionate care she received from all the staff while there. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her great cooking, and her infectious smile. She sacrificed everything for her family and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Ruby was born on Sept. 29, 1923 to the late Lola and Robert Collins. She lived through the Great Depression and quit Roosevelt "Sight Saver" School in the 8th grade to care for her mother.

Ruby had 4 children, 2 of whom have preceded her in death, Ronald A. and Toni M. and 1 stepchild Cyril J Grillot Jr. She is survived by 2 children, Edward R. and John R.; 7 grandchildren, Chantal, Eddie, Sean, Bryan, Jesse, Amanda, and Jonathan; 6 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a sister, Betty Mills and daughter-in-law, Ruby Grillot.

Funeral services will held Wednesday, April 28 at 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, OH 45432. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Quaker Heights Nursing Home.
