Ruby Jane Geist

Ruby Jane Geist (Kauffman), age 91, of Beavercreek, formerly of Punxsutawney, PA passed away March 15, 2025. Ruby was born in Mahaffy, Pennsylvania on May 13, 1933 to the late Henry and Katherine Kauffman.

She was married November 10, 1951 to John B. Geist.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, John Timothy Geist; brothers, Henry Clayton Kauffman, Jr., Robert Kauffman and Eugene Kauffman; sisters, Isabelle McKee, Bertha Hoffman, Patsy DeHaven and June Wolfe.

She was a member of Albion United Methodist Church in Pennsylvania. She was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Beavercreek.

In her free time, she enjoyed camping, traveling, crafts and spending time with family.

She is survived by daughters, Susan (Doug) Fisher of Breckenridge, TX, Linda Simpson of Bluffton, Ohio, and Virginia Geist of Colorado Springs, CO; sisters, Shirley Blanton of South Carolina, Joyce Heberling of Ohio, Diane Johnston of Pennsylvania; brothers, Donald Kauffman of Virginia, Phillip Kauffman of Alabama, and Larry Kauffman of Pennsylvania.

Ruby retired from WRC in Brookville, PA in 2005.

She has 7 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 1:00pm with Pastor Lilanthi Ward officiating.

Interment will be at Lakelawn Memorial Park (Reynoldsville, PA) on Monday, March 24, 2025.
