Ruby Naomi Echols, age 87 of Dayton, passed away March 30, 2019. She was born August 25, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Norman and Clara Williams. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Echols Jackson; and son, Timothy David Echols.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Judy Echols; son, Ronnie Echols; grandchildren: Ronetta Nicole Jackson and Brian Anthony Jackson; great-grandson, Rashawn Hickman; devoted niece, Josephine Echols; extended family: Kathy Echols Newson (Arthur) and Sharon Echols; best friend, Annie Mitchell; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ruby was a former Administrative Assistant at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where she retired after 20 years of civilian service. She belonged to the Women's Tri-State Bowling League for many years.
Visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 am. Rev. Dr. Lysander Nelms officiating.
