Ruby Akers

AKERS, Ruby, age 79, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Akers and son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Anthony and Cynthia Akers.

Ruby is survived by children, Clayton R. Akers, Noah (Beverly) Akers, Henry S. (Shannon) Akers, Jeff S. (Debborah) Akers, and Tammy (Anthony) Goodpaster; sister, Madge Spurgeon; sisters-in-law, Marie Reynolds and Ellen Reynolds; grandchildren, Amy Partin, Jessica Sparks, Candace Lynch, and Joshua Akers, Heather and Michael Perkins, Jeremy and Maranda Akers, Jamie, Taylor, Tyler, and Kayla Akers, Kevin Ressler, Maria and Christopher Akers, Bianca, Matthew, and Van Gentry, Joshua, Jonathan, Anthony S., Hunter, and Noah Goodpaster; 12 great grandchildren, and one on the way, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the funeral home with burial following at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
