Royce "Kip" Richardson

Royce "Kip" Eugene Richardson age 58, of Dayton, Ohio passed away March 9, 2019. Kip was born in Belle Fourche, SD on February 26, 1961. He was the son of Bill and Thelma (Drane) Richardson. He married Melissa Anne Yost in Kettering, Ohio on February 14, 1998.

Kip was employed as a maintenance supervisor at Miami Valley Affordable Housing. He was an active member of VFW Medway #9684 and VFW Post #2800. In his free time, Kip enjoyed riding his Harley, target shooting at the range, collecting guns and old military memorabilia.

He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa of 21 years; daughters, Rhiannon (Fiancé, Steve Langlois) Hoppe of Muskeegan MI, and Terah (Chris) Huyser of Orlando, FL; mother, Thelma Richardson of New Hampton, IA; step-son, Andrew (Fiancé, Tiffany Rinehart) Yost of Dayton, OH; brothers, Les (Cheryl) Richardson of Allison, IA and Tom (Robin) Richardson of Waterloo, IA; sister, Kris (Darin) Richardson-Long of Waterloo, IA; grand-daughters Caitriona, Adelaide, Aleyna and Madelyn, and several nieces and nephews.

Kip was preceded in death by his father Bill Richardson.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 3940 South Kettering Blvd, Kettering, Ohio. A memorial ceremony will immediately follow at 11:30 with Pastor Randy Grimes officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery with military honors.
