Roy Sanford Winstead

Roy Sanford Winstead, 88, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2022. He was a loving husband of 66 years to Christine (nee Plowman) Winstead, an adored father of four children, Linda Lusk (Paul), Theresa Walters (Jerry), Gregory Winstead, Roy Michael Winstead. A cherished grandfather of seven grandchildren, Rick Asa Osborne (Stacie), Samuel Osborne, Cameron Winstead (Brittany), Jordan Chastain, Jonathan Chastain, Rachel Roth (Justin), and Jake Anderson. And great grandfather to four great grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Lily Mae Winstead, his son Gregory Winstead and his siblings Barbara Jean Neely, Don Winstead and Howard Winstead.

Roy greatly loved all his family. He was a very outgoing and generous person. And he never seemed to meet a stranger. He enjoyed watching old time western movies. To provide for his family, he worked as a drywall contractor for over fifty years.

Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd Beavercreek, OH 45432) on Wednesday April 13, 2022 at 1:00 pm with funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Pastor Rick Asa Osborne will be officiating.
