Roy E. Ratcliffe, age 83, of Columbus, OH and formerly of West Carrollton, OH passed away on Tuesday April 9, 2013. He was born on December 1, 1929 in Harlan County, KY.
He will be missed by his daughters, Jill Aberman and Melissa Thien; son-in-law, Ken Thien; grandchildren, Lindsay Puckett, Joey Thien, Katie Thien, and Ellie Thien; and sister, Geraldine Giles.
He was preceded in death by parents, George and Golda Ratcliffe; his wife of 62 years, Billie Jean Ratcliffe; son, Roy Jr.; grandson, Andrew Puckett and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Roy retired from Federated Department Stores in 1987. He attended the First Baptist Church of West Carrollton. Absent from the body, present with the Lord.
Visitation is Monday April 15, 2013 from 6pm to 8pm with funeral service on Tuesday April 16, 2013 starting at 1pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
Interment is in Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, OH.
