Roy L Ledbetter, 62, of Xenia, OH, passed away October 9, 2022 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton,OH. He was born October 3, 1960 in Xenia, OH to Joseph E and Donna L (Wright) Ledbetter, who both preceded him in death. Roy married Barbara Darner on September 9, 2000 in Waynesville, OH.
Roy is survived by his wife, Barbara; his daughters Marcia (Tim Cook) Ledbetter, Monica (Brian) Lewis and son Joshua Darner; grandchildren Mariah Garcia, Shyanne Hall, Shane Hall, Tara (Matt Reed) Lewis, Brian Lewis, Natasha (Cody) Buck; great grandchildren Haven, Bryce, Macie, Marilyn, River, Callie and Jasper; sister Kimberly Wisecup; nephew Kenny (Katie) Wisecup; niece Anna Wisecup; great nephew Carson; great niece Kassie; sister-in-law Kay Barnett; brothers-in-law Jay (Peggy) Darner and John (Kim) Darner; several nieces and nephews and special friend Ron Gillum. He was also preceded in death by brother-in-law Kenneth Wisecup and sister-in-law Linda Hasting.
Roy became disabled and retired from Vernay Laboratories in 2002. He was a phenomenal and devoted fisherman and hunter who would spend his time outdoors every day if he could. With a passion for woodworking, Roy crafted fishing bobbers, keychains, and walking canes. His contagious personality was one of a kind. A major jokester, he never ceased to put a smile on your face.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Newcomer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
