Roy L. Abrams, age 85, of Vandalia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 15, 2013.
He was born on January 8, 1928 in Rock Castle County, KY to the late Howard & Eva Abrams.
Roy is survived by his children, Darrell Abrams, Kenneth Abrams, Jewell Abrams and Janice (Gary) Brownell; adopted son in heart, Robert Fiore; grandchildren, Angela (Eric) Sveinsson, Melissa (Gabriel) Salazar and Justin Brownell; great-grandchildren, Brianna Sveinsson, Blake Sveinsson, Layla Holt, Stone Salazar and McKenzie Salazar; sisters, Marie Moore and Geneva Tackett; and numerous nieces; nephews; relatives and close friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 20, 2013 from 1-2 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 2 pm. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park in Hamilton, OH.
