Age 57, of Dayton, passed away Monday, November 27, 2006, at his home.
Herbie was born April 2, 1949 in Gainesboro, Tennessee to Ted & Nannie Belle (Lee) Smith, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of the past 12 years, Faye (Williams) Smith; one son, Tony Smith of South Carolina; step-children, Cindy Jo & Darryl Koger of Dayton, Cathy & Forest Valentine of Hillsboro, David York of Dayton, Johnny York of Dayton; grandchildren, Christopher, Scott Michael, Emma, Maria, Trystan, Tommy, Tyler, Tia, Bonnie, Becca; sisters, Jessie Shade of Dayton, Eviadene Smith of Tennessee; brothers, Carl & Charlene Smith of Dayton, Jerry & Gloria Smith of Dayton, Glynn & Loretta Smith of Tennessee.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., Friday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Clyde Waites will officiate.
