Roy Gullett, age 92, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016. He was born January 22, 1924 in Salyersville, Kentucky.
As a young man Roy served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He proudly served our country during WWII in the Army Air Corp. Roy settled in Fairborn, after the war, where he owned and operated Gullett's Market for many years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce Gullett; parents, Lee and Manda Gullett and siblings, Burl Gullett, Ethel Williams, Tinnie Fyffe, Joe Gullett, Hade Gullett and Belvis Wright.
Roy is survived by his children, Deanna (Kevin Moe) Gullett, Watson L. (Debbie) Gullett, David R. (Barbara) Gullett and Dolores (John) Bowers; grandchildren, Heather (Mike Schulman) Moe, David (Mika) Moe, Travis (Heidi) Gullett, Seth Gullett, Derek (Karen) Gullett, Wesley (Eliza) Gullett, Johnathon (Crystal ) Bowers and Jesse (Anna) Bowers; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Thursday, August 4, 2016 and 10 to 11 am on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Wrightview Church of the Nazarene, 1612 Superior Ave., Fairborn, Ohio 45324. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday at the church. Burial at Byron Cemetery.
