Roy Edgar Morrison

Roy Edgar Morrison, age 91 of Dayton, passed away September 3, 2012. He was born May 25, 1921 in Albany, KY to the late Thomas and Mary Belle Morrison. In addition to his parents, Edgar was preceded in death by his step-son, David Paugh; sister, Mabel; brothers: Lolan and Dee.
Edgar is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lorene Morrison; daughter, Shirley Morrison; daughter-in-law, Ingrid Paugh; grandchildren: Melissa (Rodney) Warner, David (Lisa) Paugh, Rachel Paugh and Christopher Paugh; great grandchildren: Justin, Kayli, Lucas, Madison and Aiden; brothers: J.E. Morrison and Frederick Morrison; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Edgar attended Brantwood Baptist Church for many years. He retired from Hobart Manufacturing Company in Dayton. He was an avid baseball fan who loved the Cincinnati Reds and enjoyed attending the Dayton Dragons games with his daughter. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
