Hardesty, Roy D., age 81, of Malta, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Genesis Health & Rehab, McConnelsville, Ohio. He was born April 26, 1927 in Quinwood, West Virginia to the late Roy D. Hardesty and Eathel Hardesty Grenat. He was a graduate of Northridge High School and went into the Navy Reserve from 1945-1947. Roy retired from Inland Manufacturing. He is preceded in death by a sister, Helen Barnes; brother, Jerry Hardesty and his son-in-law, Jon Bogner. Roy is survived by two daughters, Patricia Bogner and Marsha Belmaggio and her companion Rob; three grandchildren, Rob and his wife, Ginger, Amy, and Tim Belmaggio; five great grandchildren; 1 sister, Barbara Atkins and her husband, Jack; nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends at Burr Oak Lake and Glouster, OH; and Mr. & Mrs. Charles Campbell, Mr. & Mrs. John Ashcraft, Mr. & Mrs. Chris Mineo, Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Price, and Mr. & Mrs. Jim Kaplan. Roy was a loyal member and past master of the Bishipville Lodge 407, then transferred to the Trimble Lodge #557. The family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio on Sunday, April 5, 2009 from 2-4 PM. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 1 PM at Willow View Cemetery, Dayton. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Health and Rehab.
