Roy Carrigan

Roy Dean Carrigan, 74, of Fairborn, OH, went to be with the Lord, Monday, September 29, 2014. He was born December 15, 1939 to Littleton and Virginia Carrigan in Dallas, TX. On June 19, 1964 he married Anita Joyce Franklin in Mesquite, TX.

Roy is survived by his wife Anita of 50 years, daughter Deborah Allen and her husband George, daughter Lisa Denton and her husband Philip, son John Carrigan and his wife Aja; eleven grandchildren, Steven, Matthew and Kayla Smith, Zachary and Brianna Carrigan, and Darron Walker, Olivia, Kaitlin, James and Isaac Carrigan, Jovonnie Leal and her husband Danny; one great grandson, Aiden Smith; mother Virginia Carrigan; and three sisters Evelyn Zundel, Mona Welsh, and Shari Murphy. He was preceded in death by his father Littleton Carrigan and brother Joe Carrigan.

Roy proudly served four years in the United States Air Force. He also worked 27 years for Keebler Bakery in Denver, Colorado. He was a faithful father who was always there. Roy shared his love for the Lord Jesus Christ through loving and serving people.

Visitation will be from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM at Wilmington Church of God on Monday, October 6, 2014 in Wilmington, Ohio. Funeral services for Roy will be at the church from 12:30-1 PM. Roy will be laid to rest with military honors at the Dayton National Cemetery at 3 PM.
