Roy G. Ashcraft

Roy G. Ashcraft, age 92, of Dayton, passed away on October 28, 2021. He was born in Wallace, West Virginia to the late Gordon and Thelma Ashcraft.

After graduating from High School, Roy joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country during the Korean War. After the war, he came to Dayton, Ohio and worked at General Motors for 35 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, woodworking, gardening, and working with his hands.

In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Martha; and his daughter, Lori Partin.

Roy's memory will be cherished by his grandchildren: Joshua Neal, Lacy Neal, and Chad Partin; great-grandchildren: Destiny Neal, Naomi Neal, Joshua Neal Jr., Anthony Benitez, Alahya Neal, Maliyah Neal, and Karizma Neal; sisters: Mary Weeks and Shirley Loar; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 930am to 10:30am on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where a funeral service will begin at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
