Ross V. Doughty, Jr.
DOUGHTY, Jr., Ross V., age 86 of Dayton passed away Sunday, June 25, 2006 at Miami Valley Hospital. A WWII veteran of the Army Air Corps, he went on to become a Professional Engineer for DESC. Ross also was a published author and steam engine designer and builder. Ross was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Helen; son, Ross V. Doughty III; grandson, Kurt Doughty; brothers, James and Charles; and sister, Betty. He is survived by his daughter, Sally Jo Havas; son & daughter-in-law, Michael and Barbara Doughty; son, David C. Doughty; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held 5-8:00pm Thursday, June 29th at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd.), where funeral services will be held 10:00am Friday, June 30th.
