SEXTRO (Mauro), Rose M., age 81, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete & Mary Mauro; brothers, Dominick & Joseph Mauro, brother-in-law Norman Flaker.
Rose is survived by her husband of 54 years, Joseph Sextro; children, Monique Sextro, Lori (Michael) Manfreda, Joe Sextro, Chris Sextro & Stephen Sextro (Kimberly Turley & daughter Chelsea); grandchildren, Nikki, Jennifer, Chris, Michael, Ashley (Fiancé Jimmy Shade & son Ashton), Whitney, Alex & Brianna; great grandchildren, Andrew & Makenna; siblings, brother Pete (Jeannie) Mauro, sister MaryAnn Flaker & sister-in-law Marilyn Mauro, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed her flowers and visiting all her friends at the mall. Rose won the Kettering Neighborhood Pride Award in 1999 for her beautiful yard.
Memorial being held on March 23, 2013, from 11 – 1 pm at Newcomers, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek OH. There will be a short prayer service at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dayton Diabetes or Hospice of Dayton.
