Rose Ann Bailey

Rose Ann Bailey, age 82 of Miamisburg, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. She was born April 28, 1941 in Wilmington, Ohio the daughter of the late Cuba and Effie Amburgy. Rose graduated from Stebbins High School. She worked as an editor and proof reader for Lexis Nexis for 17 years. She was the piano player and sang tenor for a singing Evangelist group called the Amburgy Sisters and she travelled with them to perform in churches in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Rose was a member of Solid Rock Church and she sang in the Choir with her husband. She loved tending to her Garden and even won the City Beautiful Award in Miamisburg for her flowers. Rose was saved at the age of 7 and maintained a strong faith throughout her life. She filled her life with joy by spending time with her Children, Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Rose is survived by her husband of 59 years, Thurman Bailey; Daughters, Tanya (Donald) Adams, Sonya Bailey and Tara (Justin) Morton; Grandson, Justin (Mia) Shoffstall; Granddaughters, Tiffany Hager and Lilian Morton; great-grandchildren, Samuel, Allie, Timothy, Benjamin and Mya; and by numerous family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Solid Rock Church (903 Union Rd., Lebanon, Ohio 45036). Visitation will be from 5:00 pm till the time of the service at 6:00 pm.
