Roscoe Reagans, age 82 of Riverside, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Heartland of Beavercreek. He was born December 16, 1936 in Huntsville, Tennessee the son of Sherman and Nannie Reagan.
He is preceded in death by his parents: daughters, Randa Rigney and Regina Reagans: son, Rocky Reagans: sisters, Delores Lawson, Mattie Reagans, Arnie Mae Brooks, Edna Samulski, Gracie Reagans and Susie Barnes; brothers, James Goodin, Edward Reagans and Millard Reagans.
Roscoe married his soul mate Ellen W. Dean July 29, 1960 in Trotwood, OH. They shared 58 years of love, laughter and joy. Roscoe proudly served his country in the US Army from 1960 to 1963. He retired as a bus driver from RTA in 1992.
His hobbies included fishing and camping at Dale Hollow Lake and Scioto Trails. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed country music. He liked to sing along and didn't mind when THEY sang the wrong words. He was a great story teller whether they be fact or fiction.
Roscoe is survived by his wife, Ellen; sons, Rick (Debbie) Reagans, Jamie (Susan) Reagans, and Ron Reagans; daughters, Robbin (Mark) Galyean and Ranae (Joe) Stringer; grandchildren, Jennifer Gore, Morgan Reagans, Paul Brown, Jason Brown, Kyle Rigney, Joseph Stringer, Rocky Stringer, Miles Reagans and Ryan Reagans; great grandchildren, Kaytlynn Gore, Karsyn Gore, Randa Rigney, LaJo Rigney, Alyssa Rigney, Ella Grace Brown, Bryce Brown, Colten Brown, Laken Gore, Sawyer Brown and Layden Stringer; brothers, Bedford Goodin, Jr. and Sherman Reagans, Jr. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Roscoe's name to the National Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund www.jdrf.org.
Funeral Service will be held on January 18, 2019 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Visitation will be January 18, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am also at the funeral home. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
