GRAY, Roscoe
age 73 of Dayton, formerly of Crossville, TN, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. Roscoe was born April 29, 1932, the son of Cletus and Della Gray. He was a born-again Christian and enjoyed singing Gospel music with John Burke and the Layman Trio and the Gospel Jubilaires. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice Gray; son, William D. and wife Phyllis Gray; daughter-in-law, Linda Gray and her daughters, Kelly and Kim; sisters, Vadna Hayes, Goldie Issac, Jeanette Johnson, and Sue Sparks; and brother, Troy Gray. Roscoe was preceded in death by his parents; son, Donald R. Gray, sisters, Dula Hellard and Eulabell; and brother, Raymond Gray. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Dr. Wayne L. Burke officiating. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. David M. Zapf, D.O. and every employee of Walnut Creek Nursing Center and Hospice of Dayton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Hospice of Dayton.
