GIBSON, Roscoe, Jr., age 77, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2006, peacefully at home. He was born February 28, 1929, in Anthras, TN. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of New Life Fellowship. He is survived by his bride, Lila Adams Gibson; sons, Michael (Donna) Gibson and Charles (June) Cannon; 5 step children; grandchildren, Michael Adam Gibson, Chuck, Kim, Terry, and Sherry; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Evans, Hazel Smith, and Martha Hatmaker; brothers, Howard Gibson and Virgil Gibson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Frances Lorene Gibson and wife Cora Bledsoe Gibson; parents, Roscoe, Sr. and Neva Gibson; sisters, Pearl Gibson and Adie Green. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 7, 2006, from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2006, 10:30 a.m. at New Life Fellowship with visitation from 10:00-10:30 a.m. Pastors Timothy Hume and Norman Hartman officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
