Roscoe (Charles) Conley

CONLEY, Roscoe (Charles), age 85, of Dayton, passed away at his home Friday, October 10, 2008. Roscoe was born August 18, 1923 in Cannel City, KY to the late Joe Marion and Maggie Conley. He was preceded in death by his wife Eva Lee; siblings Rollie Conley, Marie Stamper and Maddelie Robertson; and grandson Charlie King. He is survived by his children Bedford Conley, Phyllis (Smokey) King, Patsy Conley, Lorna (Press) Haney; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; siblings Bonnie Nickell, Canus Conley, Junior Conley, Hubert Conley and Rosafae Murphy; and many other friends and relatives. The family would like to thank Lil' Smoke King for the special care of his grandfather. Roscoe enjoyed working on lawn mowers. He was a very special man and was good to everyone he seen. He will be greatly missed. He is an angel going home, rest in peace. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from 4-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, where the funeral service will be held Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 10:30am. Burial will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery.
