Rosalind Mae Ponder

Rosalind Mae Ponder, age 52, was greeted into Heaven by the Lord's embrace on Sunday, July 15, 2018. Rosalind was born in Dayton on August 19, 1965 to the late Emmett and Mary Ann Ponder. In her free time, Rosalind enjoyed reading and watching movies. She took great pride in her family and loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and siblings.

Rosalind was a very social and well-loved woman, she attended many area churches and cultivated many friendships and relationships with fellow worshipers. She was a kind, caring, and compassionate woman. Rosalind will be remembered for her love of life and her ability to always leave a smile on your face. She was a loving and generous mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Rosalind was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher Persons and brother, Edward Ponder.

Rosalind leaves to cherish her memory, loving children, Anna Ponder, Andre Ponder, and Dominick Ponder; grandchildren, Casey, Caylee, DJ, and Delle; siblings, Romona Williams, Michael Cottle, Alisa Ponder, Robin Stewart and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Rosalind will take place on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 1:30pm. A visitation will take place for one hour prior to service (12:30-1:30pm). Burial to follow at Jeffersonview Cemetery.
