Rosalie Ann Burt

February 28, 1923 — September 24, 2015

Rosalie Ann Burt, age 92 of West Carrollton, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Sycamore Hospital. She was born February 28, 1923 in Cornish, Maine, the daughter of Leroy and Viola Douglas.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 36 years, Richard E. Burt; a sister, Clara McGowan; two brothers Clinton and Fred Douglas; and granddaughter, Hilary Arnold Burt.

Rosalie is survived by her son, James (Ellen) Burt; a daughter, Carol Jeanne; two grandchildren, Michael Burt and Julie (Adrian) Omondi; three great grandchildren, Lauren and Elise Burt, and Brenna Omondi; and a sister, Gladys (Ed) Edmondson. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Rosalie was a long-time member of the Methodist Church, most recently the Memorial United Methodist Church in West Carrollton.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439). Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home. A graveside service will take place in Melrose, Ohio at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Memorial United Methodist Church or West Carrollton Library.
