Ronnie Holbrook

HOLBROOK, Ronnie, Age 64 of Dayton, Ohio passed away suddenly on June 9, 2011, after a brief illness.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents Norman Holbrook and Eza Rowe Holbrook and two brothers Arlie and Ova Holbrook.

Ron is survived by Judy Holbrook, two sisters, Mildred (Herb) Farley of Willard, OH and Carolyn Sue (Dennis) Clemons, of Williamstown, KY. Also, survived by stepdaughters Lisa Davis of Somerset, KY; Cindy (Mike) August of Dayton; Grandchildren Samantha (Roger) Nienberg; Jason Templeton; and great-grandbaby, Ace Nienberg. Two sister-in-laws, Jewel and Sue Holbrook along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and a large circle of friends who will miss him.

He enjoyed working outdoors, doing yard work, and his vegetable garden. Ron appreciated a good time and had a mischievous sense of humor. His helpful spirit was always ready to help anyone in need. He was much better at giving help than receiving it.

Ron made the choice years ago to help in death as he did in life by donating his body to medical science through the WSU Astronomical Gift Program.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 18, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, where the family will receive friends for two hours prior from 12:00-2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Ron's memory to the charity of your choice.
