Berger, Ronnie D., age 54 of Riverside, passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2017. He was born in Dayton to Arvil and Virginia Berger in 1963. Ronnie graduated from Walter E. Stebbins High School in 1981. Ronnie married the love of his life Ruby Knotts on September 19, 1982. He enjoyed trapshooting, hunting, and working on cars. One of his proudest accomplishments was coaching of his children's athletic teams.
Ronnie proudly and honorably served in the United States Army from 1983 - 1988 and was honorable discharged. During his service he earned his Expert Badge M16 Rifle, Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and Army Commendation Medal.
Ronnie was a caring and compassionate husband, father, brother, son, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Arvil Berger.
Ronnie leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving wife of 35 years, Ruby Berger; children, Joshua D. (Amanda) Berger, Jerett R. Berger, and Mollie S. Berger; grandchildren, Ava, Chloe, Drake, and Nicole; mother, Virginia Berger; siblings, Deloris (Bob) Puckett, Robert Berger, Linda (Bill) Allen, Jeannette (Chuck) Breakfield, Deborah Puckett, Daryl (Cindy) Berger, and Amanda (Dave) Heckman; brothers-in-law, Michael A. Knotts, Billy Rohrs, and Robert Rohrs; and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd.) from 5pm - 8pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 10:30am. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City.
