Ronald C. Wood

Ronald C. Wood, age 65 of Jamestown, Ohio, departed this life on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Sycamore Glen Nursing Facility. He was born May 23, 1956 to the late Grover and Mary Helen Wood.

Ronald graduated in 1974 from Patterson Cooperative High School and he was employed with Dayton Public Schools as a school teacher for more than 25 years. He was great at teaching different subjects, but he mostly enjoyed teaching about the Civil War because he loved American history.

He was a very caring and compassionate man to all his family and friends. Ron was a loving father, dedicated husband, and mentor to some of his students and other kids he came across in the community. Ron loved his favorite football team, he was a "die-hard" Bengals fan, and if he wasn't yelling "Who Dey baby!" he was out in his yard taking pride in all his hard work. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and family. Ron's infectious personality, laugh, and smile will never be forgotten.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his loving wife of 26 years, Elaine L. Wood; his sisters, Sharon Wood, Valerie Ann Smiley, and Vickie Jackson. Ron leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Heather L. Cash (Roc); sons, Ronnie and Donnie Wood; stepson, Jason Mosley (Whitney); grandchildren, Daran Cash (Daneisha), I'zhane and Aunesty Campbell, and Johah Mosley; his great grandchildren, Delilah Cash and Daran Cash, Jr.; his siblings, Shanie Hunter-Henry, David Wood (Katrina) and Orlando Wood; special friends, Tammy Ganter and Michael Duhon; this also includes a large host of other relatives and special friends.

Family will receive friends Friday, July 23, 2021 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church, 1501 W. Third St., Dayton. Arrangements by Newcomer North Chapel, Dayton.
