Ronald L. Welch "Ron"

Ronald L. Welch, "Ron," age 92 of Dover, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 5, 2022. He was born December 25, 1929 in East Wenatchee, Washington, the son of the late Elmer and Daisy Welch.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Welch; grandson, Gunnery Sergeant Brandon Welch McGraw; and brothers, Sonny and Lyle Welch.

Ron is survived by his daughters, Peggy (Jack) Haas, Cheryl (Jim) Cooper; grandchildren, Sean Cooper, Jodi (Shane) Benson, Dustin (Brooke) Haas, Messina (Cason) Hayes, Christina (Howard) Keefe, and Brawny (Christin) Welch; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Trula Wyerick; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Carmack; a host of nieces, nephews, and many special friends in Dover, TN, and his beloved dogs, Buddy and Bella.

Ron was a proud World War II veteran of the United States Army and was a lifelong union member of the Teamsters. His greatest joys were his loving family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439). The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service. Inurnment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens with military honors.
