Ronald Bruce Walters, 89, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2023. Loving husband of Donna (nee Graham) Walters for 69 years, cherished father of Greg (Brenda) Walters, Amy Walters, Bob (Marla) Walters and Lori Wood, adored grandfather of Jenny (Chad) Mosely, Matthew (Emilia) Walters, Teresa (Joe) Williams, Breton (Shelby) Walters, Josh (Kayleigh) Walters, Jake Walters, Kyle Walters, Tori Walters, Tracy Wood and Erin Wood, beloved great grandfather of Annabelle, Lyla, Isaac, Jonnah, Adalyn, Blair and Luna. Ron is also survived by his sister, Phyllis (Richard) Coffey, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents Bruce and Edna Walters, his aunt and uncle who raised him, John and Ethel "Auntie" Coriell, son David Walters and son-in-law Jeffrey Wood.
Ron was born in Ironton, Ohio and grew up in Portsmouth. He attended The Ohio State University and was a lifelong Buckeye's fan. He spent his working years as a sales representative for Haffner Zimmer Inc.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, as well as all sports..."GO BUCKS!!" His favorite way to spend time was with his family, especially watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoying their favorite activities.
Family will be holding a private celebration of Ron's life. He will be laid to rest at Byron Cemetery.
