Ronald L. Truett, age 67, of Moraine, Ohio passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Moraine, Ohio after a 7 year courageous battle with Renal Cell Carcinoma. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 2, 1951 to William and Alice (Turner) Truett.
Ronald started his music career at a young age, traveling across the country, writing songs, singing, playing bass guitar with many famous groups and with several local bands. Ron enjoyed old cars, especially the 1957 Chevy. He mostly loved spending time with his significant other, Cindy McGrew.
Ronald treasured his time with his son, Daulton. He always made an adventure out of their weekends together. They would go on road trips together, band practices and the occasional scavenger hunt at places like the flea market. He treasured his time with his son.
Ronald is survived by his significant other of 7 & 1/2 years and friend of 50 years, Cindy R. (Circle) McGrew of Moraine, OH, son, Daulton Truett of Dayton, OH; a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Glenn Truett and Alice Truett; brother, William Truett.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dayton for all of their help and support, especially nurse April. The family would also like to express their appreciation for the staff at Kettering Cancer Care and Dr. Levelle.
Ronald will be laid to rest at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens at a later date.
