RONALD EGON TEICHERT

Ron is in his new healed-heavenly body reunited with parents Egon and Helen Teichert, brother Stanley, and brother-in-law Walter Cooke.
He is survived by wife Hazel whom he loved greatly for 24 years, her daughter Sheryl (Tommy) Glenn, of Plano, Texas, her son Greg (Bea) Smalley of Union, Ohio, his sister Shirley Cooke-Spaeth of Grand Rapids, Michigan, nephew Daniel (Caroline), great-nephew Andrew of Bath-Akron, Ohio, and many friends and staff at the Wellington of Dayton, Ohio.
Master Sergeant Ronald E. Teichert proudly entered into active duty at White Sands Missile Base, Alamogardo, New Mexico, where he served the USAF 1962-1982 in the 6585th Test Group AFSC and 4950 Missile Test Wing where he developed a payload suspension system for a 200-G monorail sled for the Holloman AFB Test Tract in 1972.
Some of his awards and medals of achievement include: AF Commendation, Good Conduct with Silver Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense, Outstanding Unit Award, AF Longevity Award, NCO Professional Military Education Award, Small Army Expert Marksmanship, Senior Missile-Man Award, Master Missile-Man Badge, and missile guidance and control technician and specialist.
Master Sergeant Teichert's achievements reflect great credit upon himself and the USAF. He was touched by his most recent reward presented by the vote of The Wellington residents when he was crowned and received the February 2018 "Favorite Male Valentine of the Year" trophy.
Ron was known for his love of Lacie his dog, Katie his cat, people, birds, flowers, patio gardening, art, photography, assisting computer friends with their needs, wood carving. He built model flying airplanes and competed in local airplane contests including Muncie, Indiana, enjoyed travelling with friends Marilyn and Gene Rotterman nationwide as well as with Hazel in their motor home.
Graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 1:45pm at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street Dayton, Ohio.
If desired, memorial contributions, in his name, may be made to Fair Haven Church, 637 E. Whipp Road, Centerville, Ohio 45459 where the Pastoral Care Staff, and especially Pastor Dave Ringhiser, kindly showed God's love and compassion with weekly visits at Sycamore Glen Rehab Center, or to the Memorial Day weekend Tornado Relief Fund.
