Stephens, Ronald E., 76, resident of Kettering, passed away on August 14, 2014 at Walnut Creek Nursing Home after a long battle with a brain injury. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, T.J. and Alice Stephens. A pioneer in Dayton broadcasting; he came to WHIO Channel 7 straight out of high school in 1957. He began in the studio and moved to directing and producing. He was called the "Iceman" because he never lost his cool, no matter how dire the situation. He is respected and was respected in return. He was loved and admired, and always will be. He is survived by his loving family,Deborah; sons Matthew and Adam; and sister Patricia Harold.
Memorial services will be held at University of Dayton Arena Flight Deck Lounge on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 5PM.
