Ronald "Ron" Lee Schwartzkopf, age 83, of Fairborn, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on September 25, 2024. He was born on August 13, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Kenneth and Georgia (Pack) Schwartzkopf.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine (Ruth) Schwartzkopf on September 25, 2015; his brother, Kenneth Schwartzkopf in 2021; and step-granddaughter, Annastacia Keech in 2012.
He is survived by his daughters, Angie Combs and Shelley (Rob) Bosticco; stepdaughters, Katrina Wadzinske and Tyondra (Josh) Cameron; grandchildren, Will (Erin) Combs, Josh Combs, Robyn (Brady) Fornshell, Matthew (Katie) Bosticco, Ava Bosticco, Eli Bosticco, and Chyondra Keech; great-grandchildren, Gentry and Walker Fornshell, Luella Bosticco, and Annabella Keech; sister-in-law, Dinah Schwartzkopf; nephews, John (Jennifer) Schwartzkopf and Jim (Jessica) Schwartzkopf; and great-nieces and nephews, Natalie, Sarah, Alex and Blake Schwartzkopf; mother of his children, Sharyn (Parker) Schwartzkopf; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Ron served in the U.S. Navy from 1962-1966 and again from 1971-1973 and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1997. He was employed by Vulcan Tool Company of Dayton, Ohio for 40 years as a tool and die maker, and he enjoyed being a member and past president of the USS Fulton AS-11 Association. Ron loved spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held from 3:00PM to 6:00PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at North Huber Heights Baptist Church, 6193 Taylorsville Road, Huber Heights, Ohio 45424, with the funeral service to follow at 6:00PM, officiated by Pastor Larry Engle.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 10am at St. John’s (Hain’s) Cemetery, Wernersville, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ron's honor to North Huber Heights Baptist Church or to a charity of your choice.
