Ronald Lee Mooney, age 77, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was born on April 13, 1946 in Dayton, OH to the late Dolores and Lee Mooney.
Ronald was a passionate Truck Driver of 40+ years. He worked for Continental Coffee, AmeriServ Trucking, Montgomery County Solid Waste and numerous other trucking companies over the years. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering, fishing and spending time with family. Ronald could find a solution to fix anything. He never knew a stranger and made a new friend everywhere he went. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Pennie Darlene Roberds.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sara Mooney; his son, Dean Mooney; his grandchildren, Zachary (Autumn) Roberds and Sierra Maiden; his great-grandchildren, Zachary Jr., Bentley and Cassidy. He is also survived by his beloved cat, Moo Moo.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2023 from 9:30am to 10:30am with services immediately following, all at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.
