Ronald L. Lockhart age 76 of Xenia, Ohio went home to be with Jesus on March 26, 2021.
Born on June 26, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio, he was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd Lockhart and Evelyn Bingamon, infant son, Ron Jr., brother, Douglas Struve, and grandson, Skye Cline.
After graduating from Xenia High School in 1962, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He received medals for Rifle Expert, Good Conduct, National Defense Service and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
He enjoyed traveling around to classic car shows, and won many trophies for his classic cars.
He worked for Greene County Veteran Services as Transportation Coordinator and considered the wonderful people he worked with as "family". It was his pleasure to drive veterans to and from Dayton VA for their medical appointments.
He was a member of Xenia First Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda (Camden) Lockhart, three daughters, Lori (Jody) Drake, Angela (Harry) Stenger, Melissa Clark, son, Don Vincent, brother, Greg (Paula) Lockhart, sister, Shauna Lockhart, three step children, John Gorrell, Julie Bezenah, Brian (Liezel) Minnie, 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron never knew a stranger and he was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a loving husband and was devoted to his family. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. Military services will be held at Dayton National Veteran Cemetery at a later date at the convenience of the family.
It was his wish to be buried where his Dad is and also his fellow veterans.
