Ronald Keith "Hap" Clark
Ronald is at eternal peace having given up his life on this earth at the V. A. Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, Wednesday, March 21, 2007. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Belle Clark; sister, Dorothy (Marj); and by his brother, Leon (Fess). He is survived by Freda, his wife of 53 years; Patricia (Trish) Poffenberger his daughter; Beth Machado, his grand daughter; Patrick, his grandson; Alyssia, Maria and Donoven Machado, great grandchildren; additional survivors are sister, Lucille and nephew, Tim Baker and family who reside in Illinois. Ronald was born in 1923 in Athens, Illinois. He attended elementary school in Athens, Lincoln and Petersburg, Illinois. He graduated from high school in Petersburg. He served in the Army in WW II in Europe from 1942 – 45. After the war he worked for Western Electric and then for the Federal Government in Decatur, Illinois. He came to the DESC in Kettering, Ohio and worked there until he became disabled. In a later life he developed a special interest in antiques as a collector and dealer. Hap, Dad, Gramps, we will always love and miss you. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, at the Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions should be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
