Ronald A. Iversen, 72, of Dayton, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 24, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY to the late James "Ted" and Lillian (Wadlow) Iversen.
Ronald was a veteran of the US Air Force, stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a Crew Chief on a B-52 Bomber. He retired from Security at Delco Moraine after 26 ½ years of service. He often enjoyed sharing breakfast with fellow retirees of Delco Moraine.
Ronald was an avid car enthusiast and he enjoyed working on them.
He also loved music and dancing, especially to Elvis music with his loving wife.
Ronald was known as a Jack of all Trades who could work on and fix most anything he put his hands on.
What Ronald loved most was his family. He was passionate about life and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by sister, Constance (Iversen) Cron.
Ronald is survived by his loving Wife of 50 years, Patricia; twin sons, Christian and Curtis Iversen; daughter, Charene Iversen (Andrew) Phillips; grandchildren, Rachel and Garrett Mueller, Espen Iversen; siblings, James Iversen of CA, Robert (Joan) Iversen of NJ, Lillian (Iversen) Hendrix of FL; many nieces, nephews and his canine companions, Shi-Shi, Suzi, Sadie and Gracie.
Visitation will be held 4-7 PM Friday, October 25, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, October 26, 2013.
Entombment will take place in the Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
