Ronald Irving Pernia

Ronald Irving Pernia, age 69 of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born September 30, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Donald and Mildred Pernia.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Dan Marquardt.
Ron is survived by his wife, Kathleen; three sons, Donald Pernia, Jason (Traci) Pernia, Darrin Ebright; daughter, Rebecca (Phillip) Walter; six grandchildren, Brendon Taylor, Brittany (Mohammed) Elius, Brittany Pernia, Madeline Walter, Phillip Walter, Jr., Mitchell Walter; two great-grandchildren, Carson Taylor, Jessie Taylor; two brothers, Phil (Linda) Pernia, Greg Pernia; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Ron retired from DP&L after 32 years of employment.
Funeral service will be held on October 10, 2016 at 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home- South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439. Visitation will be from 5 pm until the time of service.
