Ronald Glenn"Skeet" Whitacre

Ronald Glenn "Skeet" Whitacre, 74, of Xenia, passed away April 17, 2017. Ronald was born in Xenia, Ohio on November 26, 1942 to the late Glenn and Katherine Whitacre. In his free time he enjoyed playing and listening to music, motorcycles and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Davis; and brothers, Robert Whitacre and Donald Whitacre.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Clara Whitacre; daughter, Katherine "Kitty" (Michael) Whitacre; son, Skeet (Susan) Whitacre; grandchildren, Jaimee (Brandon) Wipperman, Megan (Christopher) Hayslip, Nina (Joshua) Williamson, Kevin Hayslip, Justin Whitacre, Dakota Whitacre, Selena Pierce, Sarah Pierce, Tyler Whitacre, Mikah McKeever, Brandon McKeever, Tyler McKeever; great grandchildren, Zoey, Rowan, Bella, Hayven, Davina; sister in law, Margie Whitacre; and several other relatives and special friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, where funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia.

The family encourages anyone with a motorcycle to ride in the procession.
